About Callan

Callan is a growing and successful IKWF and Freestyle/Greco off-season program. Callan is run by a fantastic group of coaches who motivate and challenge our wrestlers to be the best version of themselves. Our IKWF program is led by high school head wrestling coach, Ryan Cumbee and Dean Hamiti, veteran IKWF coach. Our Freestyle/Greco program is led by Ryan and Ben Gerdes, accomplished high school coach and former wrestler. Much more than a wrestling club, Callan is a family with kids, parents, and families who support each other and have fun throughout the season.

Freestyle and Greco

Coaches: 8th grade and up - Ryan Cumbee, Ben Gerdes; 7th grade and under - Owen Gerdes March 26 – May 30 (Fargo Qualifiers extended TBD schedule until camp) 8th Grade and Up: Tu, Wed, Th 5-6:30pm; Tu Th only after FS State 7th Grade and Under (ends May 25): Tu, Th 6:30-8pm Tournaments: IL Freestyle State, IL Greco State, Northern Plains Regionals, Central Regionals, Additional local tournaments TBD

Freestyle Girls Nights

Coach Liz Short will be leading Callan Girls Only practices on Wednesday nights 6:30-8pm. These sessions will be FREE from 3/27 through 4/24. You must register and have a valid USA wrestling card.

IKWF

November through Early March Girls and Boys Pre-K - 8th grade Practice Schedule TBD Level 1 Advanced: 3 days per week Level 2 Beginner and Intermediate: 2 days per week Optional Tournaments on Sundays

Preseason
